Poem: Do Seasons Change for the Better?
Spring is coming and with that in mind I thought this poem would be great for this time. Enjoy! :)
Do Seasons Change for the Better
The world is an ever changing place,
But at the same time
So familiar,
So the same.
Everything is always moving.
The seasons are moving in a
Cycle,
A pattern that never changes,
Never stops.
Even a day always goes to a night,
Then night goes to day.
Air and wind always moves.
Everything does.
We, as people, usually change.
We get older,
Never younger.
We grow wiser and
Learn more things.
Some are bad,
And some give us more knowledge.
The question is
Whether it changes us
For the better?
Or for the worse?
Getting older, we have no say in it.
We do have the choice
To not grow older in the mind.
But the events often change that,
Whether we want to or not.
Fact is,
People change people.
When we meet someone new,
We say certain things to make them like us.
We soon like the things we say,
Even if it isn’t you.
So we become it.
Leave the friends we used to have
And talk to friends we don’t know.
I say that is the want of acceptance
To blame.
One day,
Years of generations after us,
People will lose the want for acceptance
And greed, and power.
Or we might not live long,
Or true to us.
