Dry Run Poems; 3: Time Speeds
Hey guys. How is the start of Winter Break, I presume? I love not having school for awhile. Some well need rest in is order. Haha, school does it to you. Well have a Merry Christmas! Enjoy. :-)
When school is boring,
Time seems to go by
As fast as a snail or honey.
But when the holidays are here,
Time goes by in minute,
As short as a Super Bowl Ad.
When depressing times drag on,
The world seems to not get over the past,
When you want skip ahead in the story.
Though when happy times are flying pages
In a book, well said and well wrote.
You just never want it to end,
But it does,
And the absent of it
Makes the world seem incomplete.
Why does time trick you?
All of you?
Time is not very accommodating.
Almost the opposite.
But maybe, it is trying to help.
Maybe the slow dragged on times,
Make it so that you don’t have to do it again.
And that the happy times
Are allowed to go fast
To fit in more times.
Time is a universal constant.
Whether you like it or not,
It still goes on,
And it will not stop,
Whether that helps you or not.
